Techniques
Arm Bar From
Mount
See how to apply an Arm Bar From the Mount Position in a few
easy steps.

1.
From the Mount Position, shift leg up under
opponent's left shoulder, spread the knees and tuck the heels under the
opponents thighs.
This keeps the mount stable. |
2. As opponent
reaches up, place right hand onto chest to secure and secure the arm against
the body, shift left leg further up under shoulder.
This prevents the opponent from withdrawing the
arm. |
| |
3. Change hands, and place the left hand onto the face and press down
hard, shift left knee around behind the head, and ensure a strong grip on the
wrist. This pins the opponent to the floor while the technique is being
applied. |
4. Use the hand on
the face as a pivot point, bring the left knee around over the top of the
head. This ensures that the
opponent cannot counter by pushing the leg off as it comes into position. |
| |
5. Bring the left leg over the head, sit back, and ensure that the grip
on the wrist remains firm. |
| 6. Clamp the knees together as sitting
back, pull the hand into the chest with a two handed grip. This
ensures that the opponent cannot twist or pull out the arm. |
| |
7. Lay back with the arm in position with the elbow firmly braced
against the hip, and secured with a strong grip. |
| 8. Complete the Arm Bar by pulling the
wrist into the chest and extending (pushing hips upward and shoulders
downward). |
